Take the advice of Tightwad Daddy & I... cheap dates are just as fun. And for Tightwad Momma, they're more of a thrill.
First of all, stop over at restaurant.com. Use the code FOUR & get a $25 gift certificate for just a couple of bucks. Be sure to read the fine print... if you're date is planned for Fri/Sat/Sun, make sure the gift certificate can be used then. There's usually a minimum purchase requirement, so you are going to be spending more than just that $2 (probably another 10).
Head to a $3 movie (it's four if it's after 6:00). Go HERE & see that the movies, altho not hot off the can, are more choice than you'd think. Just be sure that you run by the store ahead of time, to smuggle in your own Jr Mints.
Consider babysitting co-op, which I've talked about before. Do that & your hot date for two will run you less than you think. Have fun!
