FRIDAY
Storytelling: Home Sweet Home. Stories about what homes were like in St. Louis a long time ago. Groups of eight or more children must register: 314-454-3114. 10:30 a.m. Missouri History Museum in Forest Park.





Zoo Memory Days. The Saint Louis Zoo is celebrating its centennial next year! At Zoo Memory Days, visitors are encouraged to bring in favorite photographs of family and friends enjoying their visits to the Zoo. Zoo staff will make scans of the photos at a tent near the Sea Lion Basin, and the photos will appear in the Zootennial exhibit in 2010. Bring your pictures by, starting at 4pm.

Jungle Boogie Friday Night Concert Series at the St. Louis Zoo. 5-8 pm. Scheduled this Friday is Usual Suspects (Rock).





Wildwood Movie Night. Showing at the Wildwood Town Center Plaza is Kung Fu Panda. The city will provide popcorn, candy, beverages and the movie. Bring your own lawn chairs or blanket for seating. 8-10 pm. Town Center Plaza, 221 Plaza Drive, Wildwood.





Movie Night: Kung Fu Panda. Take in a free movie with the family at Wildwood's Town Center. No reservations required; bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating. Movie starts just after sundown (approximately 8 p.m.)





Des Peres Park Lake Summer Concert. Bring your family and friends and a picnic to Des Peres Park and night of music and fun. Come early with your blankets and lawn chairs. Concert starts at 7 pm.





Columbia Daze. Rides, games, live music, food, historic trolley tours and a parade make up this community festival. 4 p.m. to midnight at Metter Memorial Park, 211 E. Cherry St., Columbia, Ill.





Des Peres Summer Concert Series. The city of Des Peres is hosting a Summer Concert Series at the Des Peres Park Lake. There's limited parking in the park, extra parking is available at the Edward Jones building, just off I-270 and Manchester Road. Concessions will be available. Outside food and drink is allowed. NO glass bottles. Live music this month HoneyVox. 7-9:30 pm.





SATURDAY

Tower Grove Movie Night: National Treasure. Bring a picnic and the kids for a fun movie night in Tower Grove Park. The movie will show at the Whitaker Theater at the Pool Pavilion. Show starts at dusk (around 8:30 pm).





Soap Making. Learn how early Missouri women made soap for their families using the ash from fires and the suet from butchered animals, then use modern-day ingredients to make soap to take home. For ages 14-17. Must be accompanied by an adult. 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, 11715 Cragwold Road, Kirkwood. Reservations required: 314-301-1500.





SUNDAY





Flashy Fliers. Kids ages 7-12 will learn about fireflies and celebrate these flashy fliers and activities and crafts. 2-3:30 p.m. Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, 11715 Cragwold Road, Kirkwood. Reservations required: 314-301-1500.





Art Museum Family Sunday. 1-4 pm. Hands-on art activities and a family tour through the galleries.
