The letters are appointed different values. Much like the similar game, Scrabble, the more 'difficult' letters (Q, etc.) are worth higher points.
This could be a game that Tightwad Daddy & I enjoy during a game night.
It could also be a fun game for the kids. What we did was just ignore the point system & encouraged the kids to spell words from the letters that landed face up.
I plan to use this game during 'centers' in my classroom.
It's a perfect manipulative for my first grade students to 'build words' with.
