What Are You Doing This Weekend?

FRIDAY

Mo History Storytime. Katherine Blackburn, a speech and language pathologist, will present a multimedia storytelling of the book Snowmen at Night. This highly interactive storytelling session will incorporate sights, sounds, singing and texture. 10:30 a.m. Missouri History Museum in Forest Park.

Owl Prowl. Bring the family to learn about owls in MO & take a short hike to try to call some close. 6:30-8 p.m. At the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area, 2360 Highway D, St. Charles. For more info / to register: 636-441-4554.

The Magic House holds Target Free Family Nights every third Friday of the month from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. These special nights enable a family (no more than two adults and four of their own children) to enjoy the more than 100 hands-on exhibits in the museum.

Kid Free Shopping. Parents can shop or enjoy lunch while children enjoy books, crafts and coloring. A healthy snack is provided. Limited to 8 potty-trained children. Noon to 2 p.m. Whole Foods Market, Town and Country.

Public Astronomy Night. Come spend the evening viewing the cosmos with your family! Pattonville Heights Middle School. The dome is neither heated nor cooled, so dress accordingly. If it is raining or cloudy, a planetrium program will be presented instead. 7-9 pm. 195 Fee Fee Rd., Maryland Heights. (314) 213-8233.

SATURDAY

Twittering with the Coyotes. Coyotes have their own system of communication and a strict pack hierarchy. Learn the language of these “song dogs” as well as behaviors, adaptations, and identification techniques. Coyotes share our communities and play an important role in the food chain. Come ready for a howling good time through discussion and activities both indoors and outside! For all ages. 9 a.m. to noon. Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, 11715 Cragwold Road, Kirkwood. Community Rummage Sale. Hosted by the Webster Groves Parks & Recreation Department. 8:30 a.m. to noon, Webster Groves Community Center, 33 East Glendale Road.

Winter Family Movies. 10 a.m. at a Wehrenberg near you!

SUNDAY

Art Museum Family Sunday. Hands-on art activities and a family tour through the galleries. St. Louis Art Museum. 1-4 pm.
