FRIDAY

Webster Groves Community Days. This annual event celebrates the Fourth of July holiday. The Webster Groves Lions Club also holds its annual carnival and barbecue charity fundraiser during the celebration. All activities (aside from the carnival and barbecue) are free. The celebration runs today through Saturday at Memorial Park (located just south at 1-44 at the intersection of Elm and Glendale Avenues). 2-11 p.m. More information, call 314-963-5600. 

O'Fallon's Heritage & Freedom Fest. Celebrate America's 233rd birthday in patriotic style with live music, a magic circus, carnival rides, pony rides, special kids' area, fireworks and more. At the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex, 4-11 p.m. Fireworks at 10:15 p.m.  

Fair St. LouisFree fun under the Arch with live music, lots of activities on the grounds, and fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Fireworks on the Mississippi. This fireworks display begins at 9 p.m., and with the Clark Bridge as a backdrop over the Mississippi River, it’s always a crowd pleaser. Riverfront Park, Alton, Ill. 

St. Charles Riverfest. Games, food, crafts, carnival rides, a parade and fireworks are all part of this annual celebration at Frontier Park along the Missouri River. Noon-11 p.m.; Fireworks at 9:20 p.m.  Tomorrow too!

July 4th Celebration.  4 pm.  Live entertainment by Joe Dirt & The Dirty Boys, inflatables, rides and concessions.  Fireworks begin at 9:15 pm.  282.2380.

Fair St. Louis.  Free fun under the Arch from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with live music, lots of activities on the grounds, Kids Zone and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. 132nd Annual Veiled Prophet Parade at  10 a.m.

4th of July picnic and fireworks at Scheve Park in Mascoutah, IL.  Picnic starts at noon and fireworks at 9:30. (thanks Patti!)

Chesterfield July 4th Celebration & Fireworks.  Taking place at Chesterfield Mall (outside between Dillard's and Macy's), the celebration includes live music from the Smash Band from 6:30-9 p.m., kids activities starting at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.  

City of Ellisville 4th of July Celebration.  Bluebird Park is the place to be in Ellisville for the annual July 4th celebration. Kicks off at 6 p.m. with interactive games, food vendors, ceremony at 7 p.m., live music by oldies band Sh-Boom and fireworks at 9:30. 

City of Kirkwood 4th of July Celebration.  Kirkwood Park (corner of Geyer and Adams) will feature live music from 7-9 p.m., food, refreshments and fireworks.

Manchester Party in the Park.  A Fourth of July celebration at Schroeder Park in Manchester. PowerPlay will perform from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Fireworks will follow the concert at 9:15pm.  Concessions will be available. Coolers are allowed. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.  Schroeder Park.

Florissant's July 4th Celebration.  Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available. A concert from Bob Kuban Brass begins at 7:30pm.  Fireworks begin at dusk.

Eureka July 4th Celebration.  Free activities for kids. A concert by Hollywood 5 at 7:30pm. Concessions will be available.  Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm.  Lion's Park at 7 pm.

Freedom Festival.  Eagle Point Community Church presents their annual Independence celebration.  6 pm at the field behind the Seckman Campus in Imperial Missouri.  Watermelon, roasted corn, activities for families & kids, live music, & fantastic fireworks show.  ALL free.  Go HERE to watch a video from EP's lead pastor.

Music at Metter.  3-9 pm.  The city of Columbia, IL is hosting a summer concert series. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair.  Metter Park.
