Jungle Boogie. The Jungle Boogie Friday Night Concert Series at the Zoo runs thru September 4 (w/ the exception of June 19th)... Scheduled this Friday is Boogie Chyld (Funk). 5-8 pm.
Studio Night Live. A night of creative fun for families, including a Rock N' Roll Art Station, Sketch Comedy Station, Weekend Update Station, painting, Lego competitions (in order to enter competition you MUST pre-register), pottery making and more. 5-9 p.m. Chesterfield Arts, 444 Chesterfield Center, 636-519-1955.

SATURDAY
Botanical Garden Free Morning. Admission to the Missouri Botanical Garden is FREE every Wednesday and Saturday morning. From 9am - Noon, St. Louis City and St. Louis County residents (bring proof of residency) can get into the garden for free all year. Free admission may not be available during special events. 9-noon.
Kirkwood Library's Summer Reading Kick-off. Station Plaza, 10 a.m.-noon for the Summer Reading 2009 kickoff party. You’ll find face painting, crafts, games, a balloon artist and – of course – lots of books. (If it rains, we’ll be inside our temporary home at 200 S. Kirkwood Road in Station Plaza.)
Helmet Safety Check. Children can bring their own helmets to this event where trained professional from St. Louis Children's Hospital will check to correct fit and will ensure that it is an approved helmet. Safety checks are free. If a new helmet is needed, a properly fitting helmet will be available for $8. An appointment is required, register @ 314-454-KIDS. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sponsored by Progress West Healthcare Center. At the St. Charles County Library, Middendorf-Kredell Branch, 2750 Highway K, O'Fallon, Mo.
Free Ice Cream Day. 11 am-4 pm, 1 sample per person, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST (which means, HURRY!!).
