Free Family Night at The Magic House. Enjoy the more than 100 hands-on exhibits at St. Louis' Children's Museum during this free family night. A T-Rex Named Sue. Catch this spectacular new exhibit at the St. Louis Science Center of the world's largest, most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosourus rex ever found. The exhibit, on loan from the Field Museum in Chicago, features the life-sized Sue, a 42-foot-long, 12-foot high T rex. Using interactive machines and pods, you'll learn how Sue saw, smelled, ate and moved, and begin to see what life was like when Sue roamed the earth. Madagascar.

The 4th Annual Loop Ice Carnival, Cabin fever?
10 a.m. Get outside and have fun – embrace winter in The Loop! 1,000 in dollar coins frozen in ice cubes will be given away from noon ‘til they’re gone. How do mammals, birds and smaller critters cope in the winter?
Each one survives in a different way. We will go look through Rockwood's forests to look for these critters and sings of their survival. You may be surprised at what you find! Eagle Days.
Saturday OR Sunday, Experience a close encounter with eagles during the 14th annual Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. Bring the whole family to watch these birds of prey search for their favorite food – fish caught in the open water. Other activities include viewing a live eagle up close in the education tent (program repeated every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.), use viewing scopes to spot eagles fishes and riding ice floes, and watching Lewis and Clark reenactors. During the winter, the Mississippi Rivier hosts one of North America’s largest concentrations of bald eagles. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, Riverview Drive off I-270. All Weekend
Steaming into History. Bring the whole family for this rare opportunity to view a stunning display of 1:32 scale model trains that run on live steam. These three steam-powered model engines from the personal collection of Mr. Des Lee run on a large outdoor track. 2-4 p.m. daily through Jan. 30. Free. Missouri History Museum, Forest Park.

If you're out, having all that fun, chances are you'll be out & about when it's time for a meal. Don't pay for your cute kids to eat! Go to a K.E.F. (kids eat free!) restaurant.
