FRIDAY
Storytelling in the Galleries: Down on the Farm. Free. 10:30 a.m. Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. More information: http://www.mohistory.org/

Mr. Steve in Concert. Kids of all ages will enjoy this live concert by Mr. Steve (from his PBS Kids morning program). See him perform his favorite songs. Free. Doors open at 6 p.m., concert begins at 7 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, Headquarters Branch, 1640 S. Lindbergh, Frontenac. More information: 314-994-3300.Wildheart Concert. Emmy-Award winning artists Jan and George Syrigos are back with a musical service of nature's facts and features. 7 p.m. Free. Reservations required. Greater St. Louis Book Fair. The Midwest's largest charity book fair, where items are priced from $1-$5, is now in its 60th year. Free admission. Through Sunday. 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. West County Center, I270 and Manchester Road. More information: www.stlouisbookfair.org

Public Astronomy Night. Come spend the evening viewing the cosmos with your family! Please take note that the dome is neither heated nor cooled, so pay attention to the weather and dress in a manner that is appropriate. If it is raining or cloudy, a planetrium program will be presented instead. 9-11 pm. Info HERE.

SATURDAY
Missouri Botanical Free Morning. Admission to the Missouri Botanical Garden is FREE every Wednesday and Saturday morning. From 9am - Noon, St. Louis City and St. Louis County residents (bring proof of residency) can get into the garden for free all year. Free admission may not be available during special events. Info HERE.

Lowe's Build & Grow clinic. Build a hang glider! Register HERE. Clinics run from 10-11 am.
Meet the Machines. Meet large construction equipment (bulldozers, backhoe loaders, etc.), trains, and other fun vehicles! 10 am-3 pm. First 1500 children get free hard hats. Food & drinks will be available at a minimal cost. Location HERE.

National Day of Puppetry. Unleash the artist and puppeteer within by celebrating the National Day of Puppetry. This fun-filled, hands-on family event will please and delight the young and old alike. Puppet-making workshops are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; puppet performances at noon and 3 p.m.; and puppet-related storytelling at 1 p.m. Free. Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. Underground World. Enter the underground world of Rockwoods cave and explore the cave ecosystem. For families with children ages 7 and up. Come prepared to crawl on your stomach. Wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, closed-toed shoes and bring a flashlight. Helmets will be provided. 10-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m. Reservations required. Helmet Safety Check. Trained professionals from St. Louis Children's Hospital will check for correct fit of your child's helmet and ensure it is an approved helmet. New, approved helmets will be available for $8, and parents and kids will be taught not to put on a helmet correctly. Registration required. St. Louis Earth Day Festival. Join the fun at this free Earth Day event in Forest Park. Pick up a free wild plum or spicebush seedling and learn how to plant one of these Missouri native trees. Participate in hands-on activities and see exhibits of everything from cutting-edge technological innovations to ideas that focus on conventional wisdom and simplicity.
